Better Get Growing

I have already upped my one-day-new intern’s hours because my main client is growing so fast. It’s pretty exciting! I also have my sites set on New Business. It deserves to be capitalized. I’ve spent a lot of time researching brands that I think would be a good fit for my experience, but would also challenge me and stretch my business. They also have to be a good fit for the future of Lever (which at this point, is going to be focused into one or two categories, rather than open to all large marketing projects. Just in case you were curious.) I was going to write all about my prospecting process and what I’m planning to do, but I figured I had better successfully land one of the prospects first before writing a post on the topic.

grow

If I do land one or two of them, it will be decision time. I have been cautioned multiple times about hiring employees. I’ve been told using freelancers is the way to go, or multiple interns, or even just staying as more of a consultant and not growing past one big client. That last one seems kinda silly to me. What’s the point of building something if you’re not going to build it to be bigger than yourself? Plus at the rate CherryBerry is growing it will take more than just me, whether I bring on new clients or not (which is exciting! they really are SO cool. I am so blessed!)

Anyway, I don’t really have any tidbits of wisdom today, I just thought I’d share this part of the journey: wondering when/how change will come, and what I’ll do to embrace that change. I do know that I want to grow, and I have a pretty good idea of the kinds of brands I want to grow with. That’s pretty great for now!
