Interviews

Gretchen Rubin

I am excited about this episode with Gretchen Rubin because I feel like she and I are kindred spirits; as I break down success for the rest of us, she does the same with happiness. She is the host of the wildly popular podcast Happier with Gretchen Rubin, and her 3 books about habits, tendencies and happiness, all became New York Times bestsellers. Though the happiness guru today, she was once unhappy, unfulfilled, and unsure of what to do next. That’s when she completely redesigned her life and became the influencer she is today. If you’re unhappy in your business or career or job, this one is a must watch!

If you enjoyed this, be sure and let Gretchen know on twitter!

YOU WANTED TO KNOW…

Why did you choose to have Gretchen as a guest?

She is not only a NYTimes bestseller with hundreds of thousands of followers, she also breaks down happiness in the way that I break down success. Plus now she has a massively successful podcast too, so there was so much to cover!

How’d you get the interview?

I just emailed one of the addresses on her website. She replied personally and said “sure, sounds fun.” How cool is she!?

What was she like?

Exactly like you’d expect from her work, plus very warm and open.

Where was the interview?

Her historic apartment on the upper east side. I totally felt like I was on the set of Gossip Girl!

What went wrong?

Nothing! Woot!

Did you hear anything from her after the episode was published?

She shared the article on a few different social media channels which is awesome! Not as great as sharing the youtube link, but still great.
